WOW! What a perfect fall wedding day. I have known the Armstrong family for 20 years (YIKES, I feel so old right now), and they are so near and dear to my heart. Nathan and I were so excited to be shooting at a venue so close to home. Or should I say, literally in our neighborhood. The Reserve at the Highlands and Golf Club really does make the perfect backdrop for any wedding.

Since before I was even born, my family (immediate and extended) has gone to Cherry Grove in Myrtle Beach - and this one was no different. We packed up the mini van on Saturday and headed south. The weather at the beach was truly incredible. We had gorgeous sunshine and a relaxing breeze every single day.

Read MoreOh my, you guys. This wedding was perfect. I’ve always loved Sunday Park, but being a part of an incredible wedding on a gorgeous summer night made me fall even harder. You just can’t beat the view. It’s out of a magazine. Sun set on the lake, cute little boats floating around, and beautiful trees made it so easy to take pictures. There wasn’t a bad background in sight. I know Brittany and James will cherish these photos for a lifetime.

They had a plan for everything! We took engagement photos back in October at their wedding venue, this was the moment I instantly fell in love with Antebellum of New Kent. This place is everything southern, stately, and flat out breath-taking.

Despite the threat of thunderstorms last night, we decided to take a chance and have Joe’s senior session anyway. And let me just say, the risk was definitely worth taking.
