The first “interaction” I ever had with Jordan Simpson was when she sent me a DM on Instagram to let me know that we would be working together at an upcoming wedding. She was just saying hello and introducing herself, and this instantly set her apart from anyone I have ever worked with. I’d never had a vendor reach out like that before, so I was super impressed to say the least.
We didn’t get to chat much at the wedding as she was busy putting finishing touches on the bride’s makeup while I was around getting detail shots before the wedding began. But fast forward a month or so later, she reached out saying that she would like some branding/headshots done for her business - and of course, I said yes and could not wait.
Something so unique about Jordan is that she is more than just a “wedding day” makeup artist. She’s created a space for herself in her little corner of the internet for every day cosmetic needs that you may have. We talked so much about this during our time together. Jordan has a gigantic heart for others and truly wants to serve them well.
While planning for the session, we decided to use our bathroom and in-home studio space that we have, and it worked out perfectly.
When I say that I had a great time, I am not kidding you - I had SUCH a great time. It was like hanging out with your BFF and taking fun pictures, which is every photographer’s dream. I honestly consider Jordan a friend now and can’t wait to see her again soon. If you are looking for an encouraging, judgement free space to ask questions about makeup or skin care (embarrassing or not, lol) OR if you need an amazing makeup artist...she is most definitely your girl!
