Micro Mini Sessions
This little idea sparked from taking pictures of my own 9 month old. LeeAnn was playing on the bed in our studio and I just picked up my camera and snapped a few pictures. It took less than 30 seconds and these were some of my favorite images I had ever taken of her. SO simple, crips, clean, yet beautiful.
February is typically a pretty slow month in the photography world, and I told myself that I wanted to take the entire month off. Well...after taking most of January off, I changed my mind. I needed to get back behind the camera. I wanted other mamas to have a few beautiful pictures to update photos in their own homes...without the pressure of outfits and locations and weather and everything else that goes into getting pictures taken.
I offered these quick, about 10 minute, sessions for the month of February. I thought I would have one or two reach out. NOPE!! I received so many inquires and was so encouraged by that. (*side note...I think I will be offering these again in the Summer!)
Michelle and I went to high school together and in-fact were behind-the-wheel partners. If you have ever met her she is seriously one of the sweetest, most genuine people you will ever meet. Our babies are almost the same age and exactly that same ages apart from one another. Seeing Michelle go through motherhood at the same time, with the same aged babies is the best.
Courtney reached out on FB after seeing me advertise the micro-mini sessions and I am so thankful she did. Her daughter was full of energy and as cute as could be. We had to encourage her to get on the bed by telling her she could jump on it! (Every kid’s dream right??) Her innocence and beauty is so evident.
Emily and I have known each other since we were little girls playing softball together. Speaking of little girls, LOOK at hers!! Are they not the most beautiful trio you ever laid your eyes on? That beautiful hair, smiles and energy are the BEST. These girls are living their best lives growing up so close in age, having built-in BFFs, and a stunning mama who loves them so much!! Brooklyn (the oldest) was showing us all her smiles, model poses and her love for being in front of the camera!
Isn’t Morgan just stunning? I was so thankful back in the summer when I was able to take some maternity pictures of Morgan before her big man arrived!! I kept telling her that I wish I looked half as good as she did while I was pregnant. Motherhood looks so good on her. I was a first time mom to a little boy, so I connect with her and that special bond she has with her son. He is SO cute!
Amanda reached out about taking pictures and at first our schedules were being tricky with us, and then a spot opened up!! I was thrilled!! Amanda grew up with one of our past BP brides (I love our BP family!!) and I graduated from the same high school as her husband. Such a small world and I love the connections that we get to make. Her little guy even sat up for us and gave us that big smile we knew he was hiding from us.
Isn’t it amazing what a large window, white sheets, 10 minutes and a camera will do? I hope these mama’s treasure these pictures as much as I do.
