This all started with a piece of paper and a vision. This past summer I feel that my photography style really began to take shape and become what it is today. I wanted to showcase that and I knew the only way to make my dream become a reality was create it. Krissy from Farm and Cottage Photography has become such a friend and encouragement to me over the past year. Over coffee at Starbucks we chatted and I shared my vision with her. Her excitement alone was enough for me to actually make this happen. We came up with ideas that matched the exact pallet we had envisioned.

Little did we know, putting together a full blown shoot was no joke. I reconnected with MV, the owner of Little Cotton Events, to bring her on board...and there was no stopping us then. MV’s organization, attention to detail and connections make her one of the most gifted planners and coordinators that I have ever worked with.

The shoot took place at the stunning Lakeside at Welch Estate in Powhatan, Virginia. It was the perfect backdrop to our vision all along. It was a cold rainy day, but we did not let that stop us. Each and every talented vendor exceeded our expectations to help bring this Spring vision alive.

Diane Hernandez with Whimsy brought the most decadent florals with blush, white, creams and greenery that was spot on our vision. Aisha Caldwell of A Caldwell Creation has a gift of design and hand lettering. She designed and created the most invitation suite for our event, as well as a custom welcome sign. What is a wedding without a cake? Kristy Noblin at Num e Nums Bakery is an incredible baker who brought our ideas to reality with her beautiful ‘naked iced’ cake. The, figurative, icing on top of the cake was hair and makeup done by Kelsea Dayberry, owner of Radiant Reflection. The models were stunning and felt beautiful in their hair and makeup.
