Nash's 5th Year
There is something about age five that seems so monumental. I think it’s because you are officially not a “toddler” anymore, and I’m not sure how I feel about it. My FIRST baby is FIVE!
August 2020
Nash became a big brother (again) to his little brother, William. He took on this role from the beginning with such pride and excitement. He named him “William Sweetheart” before he was even born, and William has certainly lived up to that name.
September 2020
Nash started Pre-K at Cloverhill Christian Academy, and it was the perfect school for him. We know the Lord specifically placed us there for a reason. Nash was a bit disappointed in the fact that his new school required a “naptime” (LOL), but eventually he got over it!
October 2020
School continued to go well for Nash. October is a special month for him, as his favorite holiday is on the 31st. While most little boys want to be superheroes or some kind of silly characters, Nash wanted to be something that would terrify others at our family’s haunted house on Halloween. He didn’t even care about trick-or-treating, and just wanted to stay in character all night.
November 2020
After Halloween was over, Nash insisted that we immediately put up our Christmas decor. This boy loves traditions and looks for any reason to celebrate. He became obsessed with the thought of dressing up as Santa and started asking for his very own Santa suit.
December 2020
The Santa suit begging continued; and leave it to the grandparents to cave. At first I was annoyed, but if we would’ve known the joy that this suit would bring not only Nash, but everyone around him...we would’ve bought it YEARS ago. He did everything in his Santa suit. Car rides, store trips, grandparents houses, and even surprised some of our friends’ with special visits in his suit.
January 2021
Christmas was officially over. Once we put all of the decorations away, we began the process of getting our house ready to sell. Nash grew to love packing and taking trips to our storage unit.
February 2021
February was an “interesting” month to say the least. Nash was so excited about the new house, but unfortunately, due to things out of our control (and the Lord’s protection), our plans changed and we didn’t move into our new house. The only problem was...our home had already sold and we were officiaily homeless. We decided to move in with Nana and Poppy until we found something else and Nash was living his best life!
March 2021
During the entire month, we lived with Nana and Poppy. Nash went with the flow so well. He took the changes and uncertainty like an absolute champ. I mean, what could go wrong when you are living with your grandparents and can basically do anything you want, right?!
April 2021
We finally moved into our new-new home! There is something about an empty house that is so appealing to children, and Nash was no different. He loved picking out his room and requested sharing a room with William. How could we say no?!
May 2021
Nash couldn’t be happier living next to one of his best buds, Sadie. He thought that we would play every single night. Go everywhere together. Nash enjoyed the evenings looking for bugs and playing outside. We also decided to get family passes to Busch Gardens, and he’s become quite the roller coaster enthusiast.
June 2021
We have ourselves a preschool graduate. I can’t believe that our little guy was now headed to kindergarten in the fall. Remember me, mentioning how much we loved his Pre-K program? We decided that staying at Cloverhill Christian Academy was where the Lord wanted for our family. Nash will be returning to CCA for kindergarten and couldn’t be more excited.
