Another trip around the sun for our sweet little sunshine. LeeAnn is such a light to everyone around her and has been that way since she was born. Two years in and her light keeps shining brighter.
The biggest change during LeeAnn’s past year has been her health. Things have improved dramatically. After her tubes were set in her ears, we found an allergist that we absolutely love. Lots and LOTS of blood work, we had a great year. I hate to scream that too loudly, but at least the past 365 days have been mostly healthy! PRAISE THE LORD! This year was filled with sweet hugs, a love of baths and a Toy Story obsession, and when I say obsession, we’ve watched it (without exaggeration) over 100 times.
LeeAnn’s 2nd Year Overview:
May 2019 - We could officially walk and rock pigtails.
June 2019 - We had a special session with Madelyn Long Photography to have sissy spend time with a real-life unicorn. We also started summer off spending time at the baseball field for brother, Nash.
July 2019 - We got our favorite lovey bear, named Barbara (who is now “missing” - there is a reward for the safe return of Barbara! haha). We also spent tons of time in our backyard waterslide.
August 2019 - We went to the beach with our family. LeeAnn showed us her dance moves and loved the water. Her obsession with the show “Word Party” grew.
September 2019 - We spent time at our favorite place, Chesterfield County Fair! She got a weird bite that landed us at the urgent care and multiple doctor visits afterwards.
October 2019 - Filled with allergy testing - we found out our only allergy was cats! A trip to Carter’s Mountain AND one of our favorite holidays, Halloween. LeeAnn was none other than Jessie from Toy Story.
November 2019 - Was filled with out of town family visits, the beginning of the Toy Story obsession, and distinctive outfit/accessory choices.
December 2019 - Celebrated Christmas and saw a whole lot of family!
January 2020 - We rang in the new year. Met with our favorite ENT and was told that our tubes were still in good shape a year later. PRAISE!
February 2020 - LeeAnn found out that she was going to be a BIG SISSY! Her hair was officially long enough to french braid.
March 2020 - The Coronavirus hit and we decided that it would be a good time to potty train since we were stuck in the house 24.7. We took our first trip to Belle Isle to play on the rocks with our cousins from Alabama. The month that BARBARA was found!!!! In a box of Halloween Decorations….
April 2020 - Well…I think everyone in the world knows what April 2020 looked like. Lots of family time and lots of time spent in the house. We decided to pump the breaks on potty training. I have one case of diapers left. I told myself, no more. So…we need to ramp training back up again. This birthday looks different than most. We are hoping to have family “drive by” and give our Sissy girl a special wave. I had a FULL BLOWN Toy Story party planned, but we will celebrate with ourselves and make her big day as special as we possibly can.
We love our LeeAnn and can’t believe she’s Two. Years. Old.
