We will call this day the Aldridge Wedding 2.0. You can read all about the Original Aldridge Wedding in my blog post here. Chelsea and Brandon had their June 2020 wedding planned for over a year. After dating for about 10 years, they knew they did not want to extend their engagement any longer even after the pandemic hit.

Thanks to COVID, all of their friends and family from Michigan were not able to travel to Virginia for their original date in June. Chelsea and Brandon still wanted to celebrate with all of their loved ones, so they planned a “vow renewal” in their exact same dream venue for the 27th of September.

The entire day was so peaceful and so much fun! Chelsea got ready in the bridal suite with her mom, sister, and all of her beautiful bridesmaids. She looked absolutely stunning in her dress and make-up! I had seen her before, but it was like seeing her for the first time. She was simply gorgeous. All the while, the boys were down the hall hanging out, watching football, drinking their bold rocks without a care in the world.

As soon as everyone was ready to go, we went to the bottom of the valley with the Blue Ridge Mountains as our backdrop to take portraits. We then headed back up to the venue to watch Chelsea and Brandon publicly renew their love and commitment to each other. It was like a mountain fairytale.

We snuck away for a few minutes following the ceremony to the prettiest river down in the valley to take some pictures of Chelsea and Brandon. I think these may have been some of my favorite photos of the day.

Finally - it was party time! Chelsea and Brandon, along with the rest of their friends and family danced the night away under the stars. This couple and their wedding story will always hold such a special place in our hearts.
