I always look forward to Halloween. It’s always been a family favorite, but this year I’m especially excited for a different reason. Kaitlyn and Jayme will be saying I do on October 31st at the stunning Barn at Timber Creek in Farmville, VA.

I had already met Kaitlyn in person a few times prior to our session, but this was my first time meeting Jayme. Boy, was I in for a treat. When a groom starts off by telling me how much they don’t enjoy taking pictures, I always consider it a challenge accepted! These two were SO MUCH FUN! I loved getting to know them and laughing right along with them. By the end of our time together, Jayme was giving photo advice and suggestions for poses and locations. I’m telling you...he was for sure into it. ;) But in all seriousness, I thoroughly enjoyed spending the evening with them.

Jayme proposed to Kaitlyn last summer at the beach. Just wait until you scroll to see her breathtaking ring. They picked their October 31st wedding date, not because it was Halloween, but because it just worked! I am excited about the little things they will incorporate into their big day.

We had our session at their wedding venue. The cool part about taking engagement photos at the wedding venue is that we can see some of our favorite spots and get a feel for the space before the big day. Let’s just hope that it’s about 30-40 degrees cooler in October than it was during our session, because ain’t nobody got time for this heat!

Halloween 2020 will be one to remember and I can not wait!
