Rexrode Wedding
Our first big travel!! Janie and I grew up together in Chesterfield, VA. We played softball together, went to elementary school, laughed and shared many memories. When Janie reached out in 2017 about their 2018 Waynesboro wedding, I was pumped!!! This would be our first “out of town” wedding. This was our dream. Traveling to take pictures? YES!
While I was driving to their engagement session, I listened to Christmas music the whole way there (It was December 30th...but I didn’t care!) and was in awe by the mountains and views. Driving through mountains continues to instantly bring God’s glory to my mind and how beautiful his creation is! It’s so humbling. THEN...I made it to their venue at Sky Ridge Farm in Waynesboro, VA. I can’t even begin to think of a word to describe it. Stunning is the closest word to comes to mind. It is surrounded by mountains, a field that stretches as far as the eye can see and a beautiful simple white barn. As beautiful as everything was, it was FREEZING! 30 degrees in Richmond feels much different than 30 degrees in the mountains. That didn’t slow us down. Their engagement session was one of my favorites to date. That are so in love and like-one already. This had me so pumped for their October wedding.
October had finally arrived! Nathan and I made the trip to Waynesboro for their wedding! Janie began getting ready at her home on her big day. She had such a glow and peace. She was surrounded by those who loved her most, it was just a wonderful time.
We headed to the Venue to meet up with the groom and his groomsmen. Trevor is a police officer so between him and his groomsmen we were among some pretty awesome people!
It was time for my favorite part of the day, their first look. Janie was one of the most stunning brides I had ever seen, but I was not prepared for Trevor’s reaction to her.
Trevor loves this woman whole-heartedly. He was in awe of her beauty. This is why we love first looks so much. You would have never been able to get this passionate moment with just the two of them while standing in front of all of their friends and family. It was amazing.
Janie was walked down the aisle by her two brothers. This totally brought me to tears. Those men love her and love her new-husband. Although she is their big sister, the love and protection of a brother to a sister is so unique.
Trevor and Janie were surrounded by so many people that loved them. These two people serve others on a daily basis as a nurse and police officer. Their hearts for service and others are oh, so big. Trevor’s uncle ministered their vows and illustrated the love that the Lord has for us is a million times over what we could ever image.
The night continued on without pause. A great time was had by all that love these two so very much. It was truly an honor.
