The Turner Wedding

Can anyone think of a better way to celebrate Halloween than getting married on October 31?! Jayme and Kaitlyn picked the perfect day to say “I do.” We started the day at Hotel Weynoke in downtown Farmville. As a Longwood University graduate myself, this was so nostalgic for me. The recent renovations to the hotel were so stunning that I may have already planned a trip back...

The guys were hanging out and getting ready as we arrived. Jayme had such a fun, laid back group of guys. After hanging out with them for a bit, we headed to the outskirts of town to the venue. I have been to The Barn at Timber Creek several times as a guest, but never a photographer. I was so honored that I was able to check it off of my list.

I found Kaitlyn in the stunning bridal suite when I arrived. She was crossing the final things off of her to-do list! After every “T” was crossed and ”I” was dotted, she slipped into her breathtaking gown while surrounded by her two bridesmaids, mom, and future mother-in-law.

Next came my favorite part of any wedding day. The first looks. The first “first-look” was with Kaitlyn and her father. This was so sweet. I never get sick of seeing a daddy look at his little girl for the first time in her dress. After tears were dried, we headed over to the iconic barn doors for Kaitlyn and Jayme’s first look. They were surrounded by all of their family and closest friends. Again - *Cue all of the tears!*

Their ceremony was beautifully placed inside of the barn with friends and family looking on and showing their support of this beautiful couple. My favorite part of the ceremony was when her matron of honor “zoom-ed” in and “walked” down the aisle next to the best man. Kaitlyn’s cousin, and closest friend, was unable to make it (thanks to the lovely COVID) but was present in spirit throughout the entire day.

Jayme and Kaitlyn shared a private moment exchanging vows to one another following the ceremony. These were vows that came straight from the heart and between just the two of them and there was not a dry eye!

The party began as soon as the ceremony finished! Everyone enjoyed delicious food, music, and a wonderful time with one another. Like I mentioned earlier, the weather was fall perfection, and made for the best excuse to stand around the fire pit outdoors.

Kaitlyn and Jayme are truly a match made in heaven and keep all of those around them smiling. Thanks so much for the fun and unforgettable memories!
