Not only was I excited to shoot at the beautiful Amber Grove wedding venue this weekend, but I was even more excited to celebrate the adorable couple, Jenna and Bob.

Jenna and Bob are so. much. fun. They don’t take themselves too seriously and they both have the most contagious laughs. Their wedding day was a gorgeous 80-degree fall day. The Virginia leaves just started changing colors and, with the exception of the warmer temperatures, everything around us screamed “it’s fall y’all.”

Jenna picked out the most beautiful purple color pallet for her bridal party. The matching florals by Flowers by Zoie Weddings and Events were so lovely and they paired perfectly with the changing fall leaves.

Bob and Jenna’s big day was light-hearted, stress-free, and filled to the brim with love. The couple decided to do a first “touch” rather than a first look. This was such a sweet moment for the two of them to hold hands and release some nerves before walking down the aisle.

Then, finally, the moment everyone had been waiting for...Jenna was escorted down the aisle by her dad. The ceremony was held underneath a stunning oak tree in the back of the property. Minutes after the ceremony ended, the sky decided to open and we were caught in a bit of a rain storm. Thankfully it was fast moving and we were able to capture the bride and groom portraits just in the nick of time and a gorgeous sunset in the background.

The joyous celebration continued into the reception. The menu was delicious and the dancing kept us entertained throughout the entire evening. The night wasn’t complete, however, without an insanely hilarious (and very moving) speech given by Jenna’s father. It was one of the longest speeches we had ever heard, but I loved every single second of it. I will remember this one forever.

The night was capped off with a striking sparkler exit to send off the new Mr. and Mrs. O’Boyle to their honeymoon! Wishing this wonderful couple all of the best on their new adventure as husband and wife.
