Mia and Geena Senior Session
Mia and Geena are the definition of BFFs. Mia reached out to me last fall for senior pictures. She mentioned that she would like to have a back to back session with her best friend Geena so they could also share some pictures together. At that moment, I knew this was going to be so much fun!! Our original session was scheduled for last fall. It ended up being a very cold and misty day so we decided to hold off until the spring. And boy, I am thrilled that we did. The weather was absolute perfection.
Both girls are seniors (class of 2019) at Cosby High School. YAY! (fellow Titan here!). When I asked what their plans were for next year, they both looked at each other and smiled. “We’re both going to Tech and we’ll be roommates.” See, I told you. Total BFFs. Since they are doing senior pictures together AND future college roommates, it only made sense to give them a combined blog post!
The fun began at Maymont Park where we spotted some yellow, white and pink flowers. I was so pumped to see all of the colors as the trees were starting to bloom! We found a tiny patch of daffodils at the bottom of the hill and knew that was the perfect place to start snapping pictures. Mia and Geena had no problem getting there. I, on the other hand, fell flat on my butt going down. *Insert face palm*
Next, we headed to VMFA. I love the building backdrops here. The clean soft tones make my heart so happy. Can’t you see how stunning these girls are? They have their model faces perfected! I loved their enthusiasm and willingness to do my pose of choice on cue, cram into bushes, or give me a realistic “laugh” on the spot.
We ended our session at Libbie Hill with the beautiful cityscape in the background. This is one of my favorite things about Richmond. I love how you can get a “park-like” setting and a more urban feel just minutes from one another. These girls are going to change the world. Whether it is in their medical field, (YES, they are studying them same thing!) or simply bringing a smile to someone’s face. I see big things for them.
I am so happy to be able to call Mia and Geena part of our BP Senior family, and I can’t wait to see what is in store for them next year.
