Brendon + Emily Engaged

What a way to finish 2021! I typically take most of the month of December off. However, when trying to schedule a session with a college athlete, you only have a small amount of time that they are in town, so you make it work (I am so glad we did). Brendon plays college football, so Christmas time was one of the few times that worked for him and Emily.

Emily and Brendon have been long distance over the past three years and I know they don’t want anything more than to finally be together for good. They are two of the most low key, go-with-the-flow, and down to earth people I’ve ever met and were game for anything during our time together which I absolutely loved!

Emily had her hair and makeup done with one of my favorite artists, Kelsea Dayberry with Radiant Reflection. After she was finished at Kelsea’s studio, we met at the gorgeous Appomattox Manor in Hopewell, VA. This is one of my favorite locations because it looks beautiful in every season of the year. Who would’ve known that these pictures were taken at the end of December?! I loved the classic look of Emily’s white dress and Brendon’s button up!

We finished our session on the water’s edge down at City Point. We were the only people there (if you know this location, you know this is NEVER the case). I was so excited!

Our session was perfect, and I couldn’t have asked for anything better! I’m already counting down the days until Brendon and Emily’s wedding in May 2022!
