The Walker Wedding

What an honor this day was. Victoria and Grady are such a special duo with a bright future ahead of them. They love and live for Jesus and that was so evident throughout their day. The Lord’s presence, peace and love was thick and tangible.

Like you would expect from any July wedding, it was definitely a HOT day! Despite the heat, everyone was all smiles and full of joy. When I arrived, Emily was finishing up Victoria’s makeup. The bridesmaids’ were all ready and AHEAD of schedule. I don’t think this has ever happened at a wedding I’ve been a part of.

Victoria slipped into her gorgeous gown, and had a special moment with her Daddy. If you’ve followed me for any amount of time, you know this is my favorite part of the day. After some special prayers and time with family, we headed to the first look where Grady and Victoria washed eachother’s feet.

In the Bible, John 13 talks about Jesus washing his disciples feet. John 13:14-17 . “14 Now that I, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you also should wash one another’s feet. 15 I have set you an example that you should do as I have done for you. 16 Very truly I tell you, no servant is greater than his master, nor is a messenger greater than the one who sent him. 17 Now that you know these things, you will be blessed if you do them.” The Lord teaches us that no one is greater than any other and we are to humble ourselves to one another. Grady and Victoria did this as an act of obedience and humility towards one another to say they will always put their spouse above themselves and love sacrificially.

Then it was time for the ceremony. This was another beautiful display of Christ’s love for us and the sanctity of marriage. The night continued with pictures and lots of fun and dancing celebrating these two!

I will always treasure the opportunity to celebrate with these two and their loving families.
