Courtney Purks Senior

If you follow along on the blog, you will notice that things have been all about weddings recently. Fall is the busiest time of year for a wedding photographer! However, many of you know that we are not only wedding photographers, but portrait photographers as well.

Fall is also a busy time of year for senior sessions! Seniors are my favorite! I love to be able to celebrate with these guys and girls as they are writing the beginning of the end of this chapter.

I have had Courtney’s senior session on the calendar for MONTHS. I have been looking forward to it, since she booked! I worked alongside Courtney’s mom at school and was honored when she asked for me to take Courtney’s senior pictures. If Courtney was half as sweet as her mom, it knew it would be so much fun! Well. They are cut from the same cloth!!

We started in downtown Richmond at Main Street Station. I love the artitecure here and the “city” vibes. We took a short walk across “the bottom” to the canal walk. This is such a neat place in the middle of the city, you would have no idea it was there if you were not a local “Richmond-er” . Our session ended just as the sun was setting in Libby Hill. Libby Hill park looks over the RVA skyline and I couldn’t think of a better place to finish celebrating (and throwing confetti of course!)
